Description:
This continuation course examines the Science of Reading’s influence on teaching all children in grades K-6 to read by using evidence based practices. Topics further develop phonics, fluency, vocabulary, spelling, writing and comprehension for students in grades 3-6. Teacher candidates will be placed in a public school classroom, grades 3-6, for 10 hours where they will be required to assist the mentor teacher, teach lessons, and reflect upon the field placement experience and required assignments.
Pre-requisite: EDU 3213 Reading Foundations I or permission of the instructor.
