Description:
Students are strongly encouraged to complete an internship as part of their major program to allow them to apply their communication skills in a professional setting. This course provides students the opportunity to submit a written proposal for placement with an external organization. Students must complete 45 hours of internship work for each hour of academic credit. At the condlusion of the internship, the student must submit a written report that documents completion of the required number of hours, and the internship supervisor at a participating organization will evaluate the student's performance. Prerequisite: Advisor approval of internship proposal.
