Description:
This course introduces students to what it means to be a student of literature and how students of literature pursue their studies. In so doing, it will explore representative texts from lyric, narrative, and drama. As they are reading these texts, students will learn to translate personal reactions into scholarly responses. They will also learn to engage with literary scholarship and to participate in on ongoing scholarly conversation.
