Description:
In this course, students will investigate the origins and diversity of the kingdoms Plantae and Animalia. In so doing, students will learn the distinctive features and evolutionary relations of the major groups of these kingdoms. Students completing this course also will be able to recognize and classify common species of plants and animals of our region. The laboratory will provide hands-on, experiential and field learning opportunities that reinforce classroom learning. Prerequisites: C- in BIO 1124 Ecology and Evolution
