Description:
This course is a detailed study of the elements of criminal liability and the defenses to criminal liability. Topically, the course focuses on murder and manslaughter, assault and battery, sex offenses, crimes against property and crimes against public order. Additional emphasis is placed upon trial organization and procedures, with particular attention paid to search and seizure questions, rules of evidence, sentencing and appeals. Prerequisite: CRJ 2063:Criminal Law I
